Twitter GIF Search is now live with Videos in Direct Messages
Twitter is making various changing from past month. Now the company introduced a search function for GIF images. Twitter GIF search feature is now available. GIFs are great, and now you can add them to your posts more easily. Or rather, you will be able to soon. In different moving picture news, videos are coming to direct messages. A GIF, short for graphic interchange format, is a moving image that plays over and over again. It is often used on social media to express users’ emotions. The Twitter GIF search feature will be added to the official Twitter app over the coming weeks.
GIF search will roll out over the coming weeks to everyone around the world on iOS, Android, and twitter.com. The detailed information is given at the twitter’s Help Center. The Twitter GIF search is powered by Giphy and the Riffsy GIF keyboard. Just search for keywords and you’ll get GIF results to be attached to your Tweet. You can also brows GIFs in various categories. Twitter said in a blog post that users could search and browse a GIF library when composing a tweet or direct message. According to the blog post:

Twitter also introduced support for videos in direct messages. Twitter says this one is available “today,” but that it’s rolling out globally. No length of time was given for this change, so it might be there now or it might take a while. The Android app will receive update first then the iOS.
