The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Chip aims to provide DSLR Quality
Qualcomm, the leading mobile computing company has shared some details on its upcoming Snapdragon 820 chip. The company has stated that its Snapdragon 820 chip is “designed to support superior DSLR-quality photography.” The new chip will come with enhanced computer vision. It will be a major update for mobile gaming and graphics, and some of the newest innovations in mobile photography. The new Snapdragon 820 chip countdown has begun. It will be available soon in next flagship devices. According to Qualcomm’s Blog:

The company said that the new Adreno 530 GPU will deliver up to 40 percent improvement to graphics and computing performance compared to the previous Adreno 430. The brand new Spectra camera dual-ISP will support the latest 14-bit sensors for a wider range of colors and more natural skin tones. By using the new Snapdragon 820 Chip user can also expect better photos through the hybrid autofocus framework and multi-sensor fusion algorithms that support next generation computational photography.

Qualcomm’s Vice President of Product Management, Tim Leland told to media:
We are significantly enhancing the visual processing capabilities of Snapdragon to support next-generation user experiences related to computational photography, computer vision, virtual reality and photo-realistic graphics on mobile devices, all while maximizing battery life.
The Snapdragon 820 with the Adreno 530 and Qualcomm Spectra are expected to come with new flagship devices in the first quarter of 2016. Qualcomm also announced fresh chipset for mid-range and entry level mobile. The new Snapdragon 616, 412 and 212 SoCs chips will replace Snapdragon 615, 410 and 210 SoCs respectively.
