The Samsung Gear Fit2 can monitor your heart-rate to give you feedback on your individual workouts. A user can use the GPS to track the progress when you walk or run. Younghee Lee, the executive Vice President of Global Marketing for Samsung’s mobile business said:
Living a healthy lifestyle is a top priority for consumers to enjoy fulfilling lives. Our wearable technology can enhance existing routines and blend fitness and fun. The Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX are specialized to easily address these needs, ultimately allowing users to get more out of their fitness experiences and everyday activities.
The Samsung Gear Fit2 comes with a Super AMOLED curved touchscreen display. It is used for checking and responding to notifications. The device automatically detects when you’re running, walking or cycling. That means you don’t have to tell it when you’re starting an exercise. It has an intelligent system which just knows. You can use the accompanying S Health application for long-term fitness data and to share and compare your workouts with friends.
The Samsung Gear IconX comes with three different sizes of eartips and wingtips. The Gear IconX activate just by putting them in your ears. They too can track fitness data and sync up with S Health. They can store up to 1,000 MP3s, and simply tapping or swiping the earbuds lets you navigate through your playlists. The Samsung Gear Fit2 will hit the market on June 10, 2016. But for the Samsung Gear IconX you have to wait until Q3 of 2016.
