Google App Search Results New Layout for Mobile is Rolling Out

Google, the tech giant is known for new innovative things in their products. Now the new innovation is with Google app search results. It is an effort to boost app discoverability and engagement. Google is rolling out a beautiful new layout for “apps” search results on android devices. Google app search results are a quick search for pretty much anything followed by the word “apps”. When you search for an app you get a grid of app results above the normal search results. Each block is colored according to the app’s icon. When you click on the “expand” button it opens up the grid, with more results smoothly flowing in.

These pretty new Google app search results will only appear on Android device for now. The number of downloads and ratings will reflect Play Store stats. The each block will take you to the relevant Play Store listing for batter results. If you trying the same Google app search on an iPhone then it will be in different layout. In apple devices Google app search results instance yields a card with a list of apps, each app linking to its own listing in the App Store. Google app search results on Android look pretty good especially compared to the iOS version. It is also much easier to read on android devices. We have received numerous reports of this new design appearing over the past couple of days. But my own OnePlus One device started showing it just before writing this post.
