Apple iOS 9 announced; Gives extra battery life to ipad / iPhone
Apple Inc. has announced the next generation of iOS, named Apple iOS 9. The latest version of iOS will be available in Q4 of this year. It is pre-assumed that the Apple iOS 9 will be available for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in November 2015. Apple has released iOS 9 to registered developers today. But the first public beta update will come in July 2015. The new Apple iOS 9 will also available as a final release for old mobile devices such as the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 4S. It will also available for tablets such as iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad 2, iPad 3rd and 4th gen following by iPad mini, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3.
Apple is focusing on to make mobile OS smarter and more powerful. With this latest version Apple starting a major upgrade to the Siri virtual assistant. Now the Siri has a feature called Proactive that offers app suggestions and more based on context such as time of day or location. This feature is similar like Google Now. Google’s personal assistant Google Now working is based on traffic. But the Proactive of Siri works based on what apps user have on their phone and suggest useful ones based on what the user is trying to do. According to Apple, Siri can also look into your inbox to identify incoming calls that are not in your address book. A smarter digital personal assistant and split-screen multitasking will come to the new Apple iOS 9 mobile platform. Apple says that the all new intelligent processing happens on the mobile itself. It means your data will not be sent to a cloud server. This features makes a difference between Apple and Google, Microsoft. Because Google and Microsoft use cloud processing to power their virtual assistants on Android and Windows Phone.
Apple’s mobile payments solution Apple Pay is also going to get updates in the new iOS 9. The Apple Pay is ready to launch in the UK. After that it will be available worldwide. Apple Pay is also gaining support for local store credit cards, loyalty cards and more banks. Apple will introduce the new feature app called Wallet. The Apple Wallet will be integrated with credit cards, debit cards, store cards or loyalty cards at one place. Apple Maps app is getting some rich featured upgrades including the support for transit directions. The transit directions feature will support buses, trains, subways. It is launching in more than 20 cities including Beijing, Berlin, London, New York, San Francisco and much more. Apple has also announced the new Apple OS X El Capitan, for MacBook.
Apple iOS 9 is more efficient and smaller than ever. The new Apple iOS 9 requires only 1.8GB of space to install which is much less than the Apple iOS 8 need of 4.6GB. The iOS 9 has a new feature “low power mode” that can extend more than three hours of battery life out of a single charge. The new OS will also include a new system font may be based on the San Francisco font of the Apple Watch. The new operating system will also bring upgrades to Apple’s CarPlay and HomeKit services for more devices and cars support.
