Motorola Moto G 2nd Gen Android M updates rolling out in Brazil and India
Motorola, a Lenovo company has started to begun Google’s latest mobile OS version Android Marshmallow aka Android M for its budget smartphones. Recently every smartphone manufacturer is rolling out OTA updates to Android M. Motorola announced for its Moto g 2nd gen Android M updates. A couple of weeks ago Moto G 3rd gen Android M updates was rolled out. Moto G 2nd gen Android M update bets testing has been started in Brazil and India. After the test process completed Moto G second-gen smartphone will be upgraded from Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Dave Schuster, Vice President Product Sales and Operations at Motorola have keeping everyone updated on the company’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow plans. He said in the official Motorola Blog:
We are excited to announce Moto G 2nd Gen Android M updates. A Marshmallow soak test is now under way for the Moto G (2nd Gen) in Brazil and India before it rolls out the wider user base, hopefully before the end of the month. This test applies to both the 3G and 4G LTE versions of Moto G 2nd gen. This update brings Android™ 6.0 Marshmallow to your phone along with other improvements.
Motorola has created a dedicated support page for Moto G 2nd gen Android M updates. The page has everything that you need to know about the new software. The page contains reference to the new Marshmallow app permissions, do not disturb settings along with Motorola’s Alert and Assist features. Motorola has already updated a number of its latest models to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Moto G Turbo Edition, Moto X Play and Moto G 3rd gen already gets Android M updates.
Instructions for Moto G 2nd Gen Android M updates enrollment:
- Select the Settings icon in the apps menu.
- Select “About phone”.
- Select “System updates”.
- Select “Yes, I’m in”. After the software is downloaded, select “Install now”.
- After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
- Your phone is now updated to Android 6.0.
