OnePlus 2 gets OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA updates

OnePlus finally started to roll out the latest OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA for OnePlus 2. OnePlus has been hounded pretty regularly in recent months by anxious OP2 owners wondering when Marshmallow is coming. Well, there’s an OTA starting to roll out today. But it’s not Marshmallow still Android 5.1 lollipop. The OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA update is beginning to roll out starting today. The new OxygenOS OTA update brings RAW support to the camera, new security patches, and other little fixes.

Allen, A project manager on the OxygenOS team at OnePlus has posted in the official forum about the latest OxygenOS OTA. He said “Nice meeting you all! We have started rolling out OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA on the OnePlus 2”. He further said: As usual, the rollout will be incremental. I will do my best to get everyone covered as soon as possible. Here is what’s new in the latest OXygenOS 2.2.1 OTA update:

  • RAW support in OnePlus Camera.
  • Bluetooth compatibility improvement.
  • Ultra SIM compatibility improvement.
  • GMS 3.0 upgrade.
  • Improvement for roaming issues.
  • Fix for occasional image corruption issue in OnePlus Camera.
  • Security patch update.
  • Romanian language support.

According to the OnePlus the update is rolling out is incremental per usual. So you might need to wait 2 or 3 days for the latest version to hit your device. If you can’t wait for the latest OTA update to hit your device then just download it from links given below. After downloading the OTA update files install it manually. This update is 241 MB in size.
