Xiaomi to start rolling out MIUI 7 OTA from 27th October
In august, Xiaomi announced its latest mobile operating system MIUI 7. Now the company is ready to roll out MIUI 7 OTA Updates. The beta testing has been completed in almost every device of Xiaomi. The company will roll out MIUI 7 OTA in phases. In first phase devices which receive MIUI 7 OTA updates are: Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Pad, Mi Note, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi 2/ Prime. These 7 devices will get MIUI 7 OTA on October 27, 2015. The MIUI 7 rom is based on Google’s Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Xiaomi has updated on official page of MIUI-7. One of the company spoke-person said:
We are really excited to announce MIUI 7 global stable build for MIUI fans all around the world. With two months of testing and optimization, MIUI 7 global stable version is to roll out from Oct. 27, 2015. Yours by design! Get ready for upgrade!
The Xiaomi’s official page states that Redmi 1, Redmi Note 3G users please be patient and stay tuned for further info. Our developers are working very hard to bring the latest ROM to your device as soon as possible. Starting next Tuesday, many of you will be able to progressively receive the update over-the-air (OTA) on your phones via the Updater app. If you can’t wait for the MIUI 7 OTA then just download the official ROM from here. After the downloaded just flash the ROM by using Mi Recovery or Mi PC Suite.
The MIUI 7 OTA is full of features and several improvements like new themes and performance enhancements. In MIUI 7 you can record a short video loop that can replace your contact photo using the feature called Showtime.
