Lenovo Z2 Plus launched in India; Price starts from INR 17,999

Lenovo launched its latest smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The latest Lenovo Z2 Plus launched in India. The phone was previously launched in China as Zuk Z2. It is a re-branded as Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus. The Lenovo Z2 Plus launched with a Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 SoC.  Lenovo claims to have implemented an “alloy rollcage” to give the phone rigidity. A U-Touch 2 fingerprint sensor is placed on the home button. Lenovo MBG India said at the launch event:

      “Once we are getting into a particular price band, we want to make sure consumers know the brand. We want to sell the phone. We are not bringing the device as token flagship as India is still a big market for us. However, Zuk branding will be there on the box, with the text ‘Powered by Zuk’ as a hat tip for the Zuk team.”

The Lenovo Z2 Plus boasts of a 5-inch FHD display having 441 ppi. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes in two variants: 3GB RAM paired with 32GB of storage and 4GB RAM paired with 64GB of storage. The storage capacity is not expandable. The devices come with a stunning 13MP rear camera. The rear camera features f/2.2 aperture with a 1.34-micron pixel sensor, PDAF and Electronic Image Stabilization. On the other hand, there is an 8MP front camera unit.

In terms of connectivity the Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus features dual- nano SIM in a 4G+3G configuration. It has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS options are present. The device comes with six unique built-in sensors including Distance sensor, 3-Axis Gyro sensor, Light sensor, 3-Axis Electronic Compass, Proximity and Acceleration sensor. The Lenovo Z2 Plus is especially re-designed for the users of India with special features like the Google Now as the default launcher.

The 3GB model with 32GB storage is priced at INR 17,999 and the 4GB variant with 64GB storage is priced at INR 19,999. Both models sale will begin on this Sunday, 25 September 2016, exclusively on Amazon India.
