Meizu India, Ready to launch new products on 26 August 2015

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu is ready to host an event in New Delhi scheduled for August 26. Meizu India will launch new products in this event. It is pre assumed that Meizu will announce the new Meizu MX5 in India in the event. Right now Meizu has built a global presence in Russia, Ukraine, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Israel, Indonesia etc. Now the company is looking for Indian smartphone market. Meizu will have a tough competition in India with other Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Gionee. Both companies are known for quality smartphone at low price.

Tim Zhong, overseas sales and marketing head for Meizu confirmed bout the event. “It is a brand launch, and we will talk about the products.” He gave a hint about the announcement of the flagship device MX5 at the event. Meizu India entered in smartphone market of India recently with the launch of its Meizu M1 Note. The device was launched in an exclusive partnership with Amazon. The latest version of Meizu M1 Note is M2 Note which is also expected to launch in this event.

The latest flagship from Meizu is MX5. The Meizu MX5 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It is packed with Mediatek MT6795T SoC chip. The 2.2GHZ CPU comes with octa-core processor with eight Cortex A53 cores. It is paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of DDR4 RAM. The Meizu MX5 is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 149 grams. It comes with Android 5.0 with Meizu’s Flyme OS 4.5 on the top.

The device comes with a powerful 20.7MP rear camera with dual LED flash and f/2.2 aperture having laser aided focus mode. On front side there is a 5MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device is powered by a 3,150mAh battery. The MX5 also features a fingerprint sensor just like OnePlus 2. The dual-SIM device is configured with LTE support and Wi-fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1.
