OnePlus X Launched in metal body fells premium looking

OnePlus, the Chinese manufacturer has been launched its new smartphone – OnePlus X. The new OnePlus X will be sold from 4th November 2015 in China, US, India and 6 other countries. The OnePlus X launched with rich features in a budget segment. The device is priced at $249 (Rs. 16,000 in India) only. The OnePlus X popup event will be held on 2nd November at Mumbai and on 3rd November at Delhi and so on till 21st November at various places in world. OnePlus X launched with the ‪#‎PowerfullyBeautiful companion. The OnePlus X doesn’t exhibit much flair, but it offers plenty of quality. OnePlus X has metal frame just like OnePlus 2.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said on launch event of OnePlus X:

“We still don’t have a good way of categorizing this type of device. We are never going to make a phone for $100 or $150. Our goal is always to make really great products, and at that price point it’s not possible. You can’t afford to make it using these materials. OnePlus X only for the everyman”

The OnePlus X specs are rich as it comes with 5-inch AMOLED display. The 1080p Full HD display has 441ppi and corning gorilla glass. The OnePlus X launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC clocked at 2.3 GHZ. The device comes with 16GB internal storage along with 3GB DDR3 RAM.  The internal storage is expandable up to 128GB. The OnePlus X features also comes with a 64 GB variant. The OnePlus X has a 13MP rear shooter with f/2.2 and dual LED flash. On the other hand there is an 8MP front facing camera. The dual SIM supported OnePlus X has 2525mAh battery and runs on 4G network. The device comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Oxygen OS.

If we talk about the specification they are impressive. As we got a metal framing, dual SIM support and mircoSD card support. But where is X factor of OnePlus X. The phone is trying to compete with Xiaomi Mi 4. But Mi4 offers similar specification at Rs 14,999 and OnePlus X is priced at Rs. 16,999.
