Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 open sale starts from 9 March in India
Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant has finally launched the Redmi Note 3 in India. The launch event was held in New Delhi. The open sale of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 starts from March 9 at 2pm. The device will be initially available at mi.com and Amazon India. It is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for 32GB variant. It is the first ever Redmi smartphone which comes with a fingerprint sensor. The Redmi Note 3 will be available in silver, gold and dark grey color variants. In addition, Xiaomi announced that the Mi 5 is coming to India in a month. Xiaomi’s global VP Hugo Barra said:
“We are extremely excited to be launching Redmi Note 3 in India, which is the start of many firsts for us in 2016 and more than meets the demands of our hardcore Mi fans. We literally pioneered the category of ‘phablets’ below Rs 10,000 in India, and with Redmi Note 3 we are redefining what you can get in this category. 2016 is a significant year for us and we are looking forward to introduce even more amazing products in India in the year to come.”
The Redmi note 3 comes with a 5.5-inch display featuring 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution having 403 ppi. It will be the first Redmi device to get a Sunlight display in India. The device is powered by a 64bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset. There are two variants of device. First one is has 2GB RAM coupled with 16 GB storage space. And another one has 3GB RAM coupled with 32 GB storage space. The storage space can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with a 16MP rear snapper. The rear camera has f/2.0 aperture, PDAF Autofocus, HDR and LED flash. It also has a 5MP front-facing camera with the same f/2.0 aperture as well. The device is backed up by 4050mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 feature.
