Battle Ended, Cyanogen continues support for OnePlus Indian Users

It’s good news for Oneplus One Indian users. The battle between Micromax and OnePlus has been ended. Now Cyanogen continues support for OnePlus One for Indian users. After the entry of OnePlus one in Indian market there was a dispute between Cyanogen and OnePlus. Micromax, the Indian smartphone manufacturer has exclusive partnership with Cyanogen for India. Micromax deal with Cyanogen was for YU series smartphones. Micromax launched the first smartphone Yu Yureka in India having Cyanogen OS. And due to this partnership Cyanogen stopped the OTA support to OnePlus One. Indian users of OnePlus One were unable to get latest CM12S OTA.

All legal issues with Micromax in have been resolved by OnePlus. Things are settled through mutual agreements. That means all OnePlus One Indian users will receive Cyanogen OS latest OTA updates. The latest CM12S will be available for Indian users soon. OnePlus on Friday announced on their blog post:

OnePlus and Cyanogen ended their partnership in last month. And OnePlus released their own mobile operating system – “Oxygen OS.” The brand new mobile OS was released on March 27th 2015. It was the first Android 5.0 Lollipop based OS for OnePlus One. But now Cyanogen continues support for OnePlus One Indian users with latest OTA updates. Cyanogen is planning to support more devices globally.
