LG G5 leak shows that it will have Always on Screen

The LG G5 leak confirms that it will come with “Always On Display”. The LG G5 launch event is already confirmed. In MWC 2016 three major flagship smartphones are launching. The LG G5 is launching in MWC 2016 on 21st February. All flagships are leaking something daily. Today LG G5 feature of screen has been officially revealed. LG posted a GIF image of their official Facebook page. The GIF clearly showing that the new G5 will have Always On Display. It also shows that company has included the same thinking in its radically redesigned its previous G4 successor.

The new GIF showing a variety of smartphones gradually growing dark, until the silhouette of the LG G5 appears. The LG G5 appears with the time and date of its launch event.  It also displayed a series of notification icons similar to the LG V10‘s second screen. After this the text “Always On” appears along with the LG G5 logo. The GIF has a punch line:

“Never go asleep while others do. LG G5, Always ON.”

The company could be implying that the LG G5’s screen would never turn off. This might be a new feature that we haven’t seen before. Still it is not clear whether this screen would be literally Always ON. Every smartphones have their own solutions for peeking at notifications while the phone is asleep. The Samsung has trademarked the Always On Display name. There are some reports saying that it will be included in the Galaxy S7. It is also indicating that Samsung will use similar feature in its new flagship. Now, we will have to wait for LG G5 launch event to see what LG brings more in G5.
