Citrix has selected Microsoft Azure as its preferred and strategic cloud for its future roadmap. This partnership will empower joint customers to capitalize on the convergence of cloud, mobile and big data and drive digital transformation in their organizations. Through the expanded partnership, Citrix later this year will offer customers with licensed, per-user Windows 10 Enterprise the ability to manage Windows 10 images on Azure through XenDesktop virtual desktop infrastructure. The aim is to help customers deploy virtual apps or desktops and accelerate Windows 10 adoption using Microsoft cloud. Citrix’s AppDNA will help customers accelerate migration to Windows 10 and will offer lifecycle management tools to help discover and resolve application compatibility issues. Customers will now have optimized Skype for Business backed by Citrix XenApp security in XenDesktop environments. Users can also run the full version of Office 365 on XenApp.
