New Flagship Yu Yutopia ready to launch – Techbyts Report

The new flagship Yu Yutopia flagship is going to be launched on 17 December

Micromax sister company Yu Televentures is ready to launch their next smartphone. The next device is name as YU Yutopia. Company has starting sending out media passes/invites for the launch event of Yu Yutopia smartphone. The device will be unveiled on Thursday, December 17 in India. Company has started twitter and facebook campaign under #Yutopia. Yu Televentures is teasing so far of the phone which is expected to sport a unibody metal design.

In terms of specifications, the Yu Yutopia is expected to have a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display along with 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC CPU. The device may have a huge 4GB of RAM paired with 32GB internal storage capacity.  Geekbench score for a device named YU5050 was being speculated to be the Yu Yutopia as well. At the camera front, the Yu Yutopia is expected to come with a 21MP rear camera with Dual LED flash and OIS sensor. At the front 8MP selfie shooter can take place. It will have a fingerprint sensor just like other flagship from Apple, OnePlus and Samsung. But for the real specification we will have to wait till 17 December 2015.

It is rumored that the Yu Yutopia is made in India and supported under the Make in India program. After a few days ago Yu Televentures head Rahul Sharma tweeted about Yutopia as ‘the most powerful phone on the planet’. The company is all set to build up the hype around the upcoming launch. Yu Televentures had released teasers of the Yu Yutopia by saying: RIP Plastic and Sandstone: True power lies in metal”. It was a clear dig at OnePlus One’s sandstone back cover. In another teaser Yu has also shown a message ‘Never Settle For 1080p’.  That indicates that the all new Yu Yutopia will have a Quad HD display. Stay tuned!
