OnePlus Event at Bengaluru May Launch OnePlus X
After the successful launch of OnePlus 2 today an event held at Bengaluru, India. It is presumed that OnePlus X will be announced today under Make in India program. OnePlus rival Xiaomi already launched first Made in India device – Redmi 2 Prime. The event will be attended by the company’s CEO Pete Lau and India’s General Manager, Vikas Agrawal. As per the internal sources OnePlus might announce the mid-range smartphone called as OnePlus X. In this event a couple of key announcements will be there.
It is expected that Pet Lau might announce their plans about Make in India. This could mean that all future OnePlus smartphones might be manufactured in India. Recently similar move was taken by Xiaomi. The same move has also been taken by Motorola. According to Motorola’s India GM, Amit Boni the second lot of Moto X Play will be manufactured in India. OnePlus India’s GM Vikas Agrawal had earlier hinted by saying,

The OnePlus X is expected to be priced around $249 (approx. INR 16,000). The OnePlus X was recently spotted on FCC website, which hints some changes in design compared to the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. According to some rumors OnePlus X features a 5-inch FHD display along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor. The OnePlus X will be powered by 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The new device may have a dual-camera setup at the back, and 5MP camera at front. The OnePlus X may have a fingerprint sensor.
Some sources from China are claiming that OnePlus X will have MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) SoC processor along with a MT6630 wireless SoC. It is expected that there will be a USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities, Bluetooth 4.1, an IR Blaster and all usual sensor in OnePlus X.
